The Full Story
About Us
At RePlate, we’re on a journey to reduce food waste in Singapore by turning surplus food into meaningful opportunities. Through partnerships with NGOs, hawker vendors, and government agencies, we focus on redistribution, policy advocacy, and awareness campaigns to tackle this pressing issue.
Aligned with SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, our programs inspire sustainability, support underprivileged communities, and promote responsible consumption. Together, we can reimagine food waste and build a greener, more inclusive future for all.

Head of Operations
Zikuan Chen
Hi! I’m Zikuan Chen, a grade 11 student at UWCSEA East. At RePlate, I manage our programs, lead hawker outreach, and help grow partnerships with organisations that share our mission. I’m greatly interested in how business, sustainability, and social impact come together – and as someone who loves eating and exploring different food cultures, it’s frustrating to see how much good food ends up wasted.
Through RePlate, I’m excited to help shift habits around food waste and make sustainability a part of everyday life.

Our Mission is to promote mindful eating habits and encouraging patrons to take smaller portions and reduce leftovers. By engaging hawker vendors and the public, we aim to spark a cultural shift toward more sustainable dining habits and reduce food waste in Singapore.
We envision a Singapore where mindful eating is a way of life, and food waste is minimised. Through collaboration with hawker vendors and the public, we strive to make smaller portions and finishing meals a natural habit. By fostering awareness and cultural change, we aim to align our rich food heritage with sustainability, ensuring a future where every meal is valued, and waste is rare.
